It will keep you in splits throughout , specially if you have south Indian friends ( Tam Brahm) since then you can relate to what goes in a typical south Indian household. The language is simple and the mind set of a typical middle class Indian household where a prospective bride resides is well chalked out.Damayanthi - who is the main character of this novel ( she hates the name her parents have given her !!) comes to Mumbai from Chennai( where she works in a non descript account firm) to escape the marriage proposals coming her way.
